Will the woom EXPLORE replace the woom ORIGINAL?

Yes—in part. The woom EXPLORE in sizes 5 and 6 will have a permanent place in our lineup, and the woom ORIGINAL in sizes 5 and 6 will now only be available as long as stocks last.

Over time it has become clear just how experienced older children are on their bikes by the time they're riding the 5 and 6, which is why we've carefully designed the woom EXPLORE to meet the needs and design expectations of this particular age group. The woom EXPLORE is therefore not just visually different to the woom ORIGINAL, but also specced with more advanced technical features like hydraulic disc brakes and even more age-specific frame geometry. This is to ensure that the woom EXPLORE provides kids and families with the extra safety and comfort that's required in order to unlock bigger and broader adventures, and therefore maximum levels of fun.

The woom EXPLORE 4 will join our lineup for children aged 6–8, but unlike sizes 5 and 6, it will complement the woom ORIGINAL 4 as an additional option. At this age, children's cycling abilities can vary widely—some may still be developing their skills and confidence, while others are ready to tackle more challenging rides. The two models cater to these different needs: The woom EXPLORE 4 is our go-further option for kids and active families that are already used to going for longer rides, where the bike’s performance both on and off-road is more of a topic, whereas the woom ORIGINAL 4, which offers all the trademark child-specific features of a woom bike, is an affordable, versatile option for tarmac and casual rides.

With the woom EXPLORE 4 and woom ORIGINAL 4, we want to make sure this age group have the choice of two models, so that riders can find the most suitable bike for their lifestyle.
