Why do woom 4, 5 and 6 bikes have twist shifters?

When a child is learning how to use gears on their bike, it is much better to begin with a twist shifter rather than a trigger shifter. Your child can see exactly which gear they are currently using, which helps them to work out which gears are most suited to climbing or descending.
