The chin strap on the KIDS' Helmet becomes loose. What can I do?

If your KIDS' Helmet was produced before March 2021, you may find that the chin strap becomes slightly loose and no longer fits properly under the chin. Check that the strap has been pushed through all the loops and slide the rubber strap keeper all the way to the fastening. This increases the resistance and is the best way to stop the chin strap loosening when the helmet is being worn. You also need to check regularly that the helmet fits properly to ensure the best protection possible for your child. The helmet shouldn't sit too low on your child's forehead or neck. A good fit means having a gap of one or two fingers between the eyebrows and brim of the helmet. Remember that the chin strap needs to be fastened and tightened every time the helmet is worn. Watch our video for a guide to finding the right helmet size for your child and checking that it's positioned properly

RIGHT

In our new helmet series (after May 2021), the chin strap has an additional rubber O-ring that you should position as close as possible to the fastening. This keeps the chin strap nice and secure, stopping it from slipping when the helmet is being worn.
